What about video resumes?
These days with gas prices and the ease of use,
only a schmuck would require some poor schmuck
to drive 2-5 hrs out to your place for a first interview.
The interview is everyone's first impression.
How does it make the school look?
How weird is it to require a teacher to integrate technology in the classroom
when the Princ./Supe./AD-HC can't do it?

They did Skype interviews in lieu of phone interviews at my college for the new football coach. I think they selected 25 from resumes, then whittled down to 15. Those 15 got Skype interviews. From those 15 they picked 5 finalists for on campus interviews. Everybody seemed to think that they worked really well.

Now how ya suppost to be 35 pounds lighter and 15 years younger on a video interview... sheesh...

there is 1 county in Texas
that grows more peaches
than the whole state of Georgia.

Had my first Skype interview today.
Didn't want to risk being cut off so I hooked up to a hard line.
They were breaking up a little,
but I understood their questions.
Nice not having to drive out for an initial interview.
Everyone should ask about the possibility of it when talking to Princ's/Supe's etc.
