That's him!!
I had Audie Murphy stuck in my mind and couldn't think.
Anywayz,
Many years ago some channel
started running all those Autry movies on Sat. afternoon.
Mom taped them all (there were a bunch!!)
and I decided to watch one.
Lo and behold there's the Duke,
with a bit part,
looking bout 19 and playin one of the bad guys
all dressed in black and all.
Mom said she thought it might have been one of the few times he ever played a bad guy.
Purty sure I got the story right.
It was many moons ago.
