Yes, we are excited about the lineup of games at Emery. High Island and Mount Carmel came down to the wire last season so it should make for a great rematch. Emery looks forward to taking on Crosby V&P as they re-launch their program. Ft. Bend and Orange will bring their JH kids as well and have a double header on Friday. Then we've got a Saturday matinee for the headliner between two defending state champs-Baytown Christian from TAPPS D3 and Haslet Heritage Christian from TCAF D2.

Thursday, August 29th
4:00 pm – High Island High School JV (Visitor) vs. Emery JV (Home)
5:30 pm – High Island High School (Visitor) vs. Mount Carmel Academy (Home)
7:30 pm – Crosby Victory & Praise (Visitor) vs. Emery (Home)

Friday, August 30th
4 pm – Fort Bend Chargers JH (Visitor) vs. Orange Community Christian JH (Home)
6 pm – Fort Bend Chargers (Visitor) vs. Orange Community Christian (Home)

Saturday, August 31st
11:00 am – Baytown Christian (Visitor) vs. Haslet Heritage Christian Academy (Home)

Come out to Helfman Field and check out a game or two!

Solid lineup of games! That saturday game between two state champs will be a really solid game. If I'm not mistaken, this will be Baytown's second year facing a defending state champ.

Any chance of Baytown and Emory renewing competition? Missed watching the two programs face each other.

Yes we've got them on the schedule for Week 6, Sat. October 5th. 6 p.m. at Baytown. They will be tough but should help prepare us for district play.

Thanks to all who came out and made it a great kickoff classic at Emery!

Lots of good games, Emery defeated Mt. Carmel on Thursday night then in the battle of Community Christian schools, Mineral Wells edged Orange Community 81-75, came down to the final second. On Saturday morning in a heavyweight fight between two defending state champs Baytown Christian edged Haslet Heritage Christian in a back and forth game 42-34. Emery JV defeated High Island JV in the afternoon matinee and the finale was a match-up of strength vs. speed as High Island pulled off a terrific comeback to beat Seguin Lifegate 55-54. On to Week 2!
