Tapps II rankings seem off?

Postby Cougar1414 » Sun Oct 09, 2016 1:52 pm

There seems to be a issue with the rankings. Teams that had a bye went up dramatically?

Doesn't make any sense for Huntsville and Conroe to move up to 2,3 and their power ranking to jump like they did on a week that they both had a bye.i agree that Seguin deserves the top spot. They have been solid! What about baytown? How would they drop all the way to 5 after beating their opponent by 45 and their power ranking didn't move a point. Only one I saw half right was San Marcos dropping to 10. They are inconsistent!

Has nothing to do with having a bye week or a game. It is constantly trying to fit everyone in the correct spot. If a team you defeated upsets someone, you should move accordingly. the system is expanding every week to fit teams into where they should be. With over 250 teams, and teams that would 45 a team that would 45 a team that would 45 a team.... it really starts to grow.

Here's a link so you can see is each team is where they should be... it is not perfect...

granger thanks for the explanation. I just have not seen this much movement in Tapps II. Last week it had Waco Live Oak #1 for a series of hours then it magically switch to Baytown. At the end of the day or the next series of weeks it all works out. Seguin plays San Marcos, Conroe convenant plays Baytown, and Alpha well.... they play Conroe lifestyle

Seguin vs San Marcos will be the game to watch. I honestly don't think Conroe is as strong as the rankings show. They got their credit for beating San Marcos hill country but several people confirmed they were missing 2 of their stud players. Baytown should beat them with no problem

I actually wrote about some missing scores and mistakes in the file. That was the reason for the changes. There will always be some changes when scores are missing when they first come out.... it's about to happen again

Hey Granger, off topic a little bit from tapps division II, but I noticed that for TCAF the Lewisville Founders schedule is messed up and is causing some issues in the rankings. For example 2 weeks ago Founders and westlake were listed as a bye for week 6, however the played each other and Founders won 58-41.

Also moving forward Founders official schedule is as follows below, I know it is listed different on sixmanfootball.com

10/14
7:30p
@ Newman International Academy (Arlington, TX)
Location: Newman International Academy
Preview Game
10/21
7:30p
@ Lucas Christian Academy (Lucas, TX)
Game Details: LCA Homecoming
Preview Game
10/28
7:30p
Nazarene Christian Academy (Crowley, TX)
Location: Founders Classical Academy

Thanks. Hard to have it right if I don't have the score. Will fix over the next 24 hours. About to jump on a plane...

Cougar,
Believe me, Alpha would love to play Baytown and Covenant. Those decisions were not made by us not to play as we have every year that I've been here. This schedule was out of our hands, so we play what we have been dealt. Looking forward to November, as are our kids.

Would have been great to see some old "District 3" rivals play.
