 Lingleville Football
Has anybody heard if Lingleville may start playing 6man football in the fall? I have had several (reliable) sources tell me that the Cardinals may the newest 6man team in Texas!

Last I heard they don't have the votes on the school board there. I would like to see it! They have loads of wind energy money too.
Lingleville played 2 seasons of 6man in the 60's.

Any chance Huckabay might consider 6m? That would be a rivalry, Lingleville-Huckabay.

Huckabay...ha....no! Well, it would be nice to see some of those communist sympathizer schools play real American ... wait, no... Texas Football! Seriously, when does a UIL school have to inform UIL that they plan to play district football? Is it the same time as the enrollment count (this month)?

 Re: Lingleville Football
Huckabay does not have a football field I believe so one would have to be built. Does Lingelville have a football field.
I do know this......when I was in HS Huckabay kicked our butts in basketball every year twice a year. They did not take it easy on us at all......scores were like 74 to 18, stuff like that. Yes, they would put in the B team but it did us no good.
We would always talk, "If they had a FB team we would return the pain" but of course they didn't.
I do not know how they are in BB with the district schools now or if the feelings are even the same.

 Re: Lingleville Football
I just told my fiancee Angie that we were tlaking about Huckabay playing 6-man and she laughed, said it would never happen. She graduated from there back in 1984.

I would like to see Lingleville get football. I had some family go to schoool there, but transfered the boys to Dublin for football.

 Re: Lingleville Football
I can't imagine Lingleville ever playing football. I had heard that they were tossing the idea around but was told that the majority of the community was against the idea. Might be interesting to see what becomes of it.
