Week 8 Player of the Week:

CJ Hutchinson – Gholson – 26-277 yards, 3 touchdowns rushing

Hutchinson is having a great season has he turned in a 277 yards, three touchdown rushing performance against six-man powerhouse Abbott leading the Wildcats to a 34-8 victory. This season Hutchinson has logged over 1,500 yards rushing and 26 touchdowns on the ground and he should be a player on everyone’s radar…especially his DI district 10 opponents.

Honorable Mentions:
Anthony Coy – Ira – 31-251 yards, 5 touchdowns rushing

With a big district win over Spur in a hotly contested game, Coy proved to be a big offensive weapon on the night for the Ira Bulldogs as they defeat the Spur Bulldogs 56-38 thanks in part to Coys’ five touchdowns scored.

Preston Lyons – Saint Jo – 21-187 yards, 2 touchdowns rushing; 5-12 for 54 yards, 1 touchdown passing
Saint Jo beats Bryson 27-24 in district play and Lyons had a big hand in that big victory.

RJ Washington – Baytown Christian – 11-15-0 for 236 yards, 7 touchdowns passing
Baytown beats Houston Mt Carmel 87-14 in a game that ended at halftime and Washington has a premium performance in limited action for Baytown throwing for 236 yards and seven touchdowns.

Isaiah Sampson – Dallas Lutheran – 21-293 yards, 5 touchdowns rushing; 8-12-1 for 95 yards, 3 touchdowns passing; 2-24 yards, 1 touchdown receiving; 5.5 tackles
Sampson gives us another solid performance as Dallas Lutheran defeated a solid Gainsville Lone Star North team 82-69.

Milo Malinchalk – High Island – 16-212 yards, 4 touchdowns rushing; 25 yards passing; 1 KO return for a touchdown; 1 1pt PAT conversion.
In a game that was very tight and was a back and forth affair, Malinchalk scored six touchdowns and one extra point as High Island defeated Fruitvale 80-73 in district play.

Gavin Sulc – Fruitvale – 29-351 yards, 5 touchdowns rushing; 13-24-1 for 200 yards, 4 touchdowns passing; 1-8 yards receiving; 559 yards of total offense; 2 tackles; 31 total points scored
Sulc in a losing effort put up some crazy offensive numbers as he threw for over 200 yards and rushed for over 350 yards. For the Bobcats... which is a rare feat indeed.
