2008 SIX-MAN PROJECT

Show us what makes your six-man team, your town special. Show us your team's unique character; its mascot, field, coaches, school, and PASSION.

Show us your heartbeat.

Your efforts will help us archive the sport for generations to come and hopefully introduce six-man football to a national audience. Please send us a 5-7 minute DVD about your team to the address below. Include brief interviews with team members, coaching staff, cheerleaders or your most supportive fans. Film your town's attractions—for example, the wind farm, the café, the suspension bridge, and any historical sites. Include highlights from your games. Professional quality filming is NOT expected.

Send three DVD copies of your film with release forms signed by your filmmakers and anyone interviewed to the address below. All filmmakers will be credited with their work. Sixmanfootball.com reserves the right to exhibit films via the website. DUE DATE FOR entry IS JUNE 30, 2008.

ONE SCHOOL SELECTED FROM OUR POOL OF ENTRANTS WILL RECEIVE A $1000.00 DONATION FOR ITS SIX-MAN FOOTBALL PROGRAM.

Winner to be announced by August 1, 2008.

Granger Huntress is the creator and webmaster of www.sixmanfootball.com, called “The Bible of six-man football in Texas” by the New Your Times. He is also the six-man football editor for Dave Campbell’s Texas Football magazine. Teresa Burkett Bourgoise and Nancy Bein have combined more that twenty years experience in television and film. Teresa has worked primarily in the special effects industry, both film and television. (Teresa is a native of Texas; her father Robert Burkett played six-man somewhere near Corpus Christi in the 1950’s.) With more than 800 hours in television, Nancy’s programs have won every award including the Emmy, the Humanitas Award, Women in Film Luminas Award, The Christopher Award, & the American Women in Radio and Television Commendation Award.
